The research library and archives are located in the Log Cabin adjacent to the Burrows House Museum. The research library and archives are open by appointment only. Contact: collections@oregoncoasthistory.org.

The library houses thousands of photographs, documents, maps, and records pertaining to local and regional topics. Some fees apply.

The library provides the following services:

• Research assistance on the history of the Central Oregon Coast
• Photographic reproduction
• Photocopying of records, maps and photographs subject to the
condition of the materials
• Referral service to other repositories

The Log Cabin was formerly one of the Society’s museums. It was renovated and re-purposed to a spacious public research library and archive storage facility in 2014. The library was formerly located in the Burrows House Museum. Demand for research assistance and a growing collection of photographs and research materials necessitated a larger space. For more information, call 541-265-7509.

Library Volunteers Needed

Are you a compulsive organizer? Do you have the patience to see a project to fruition? Have you a passion for history?  If you answered yes to at least two of the preceding questions, we need you!  We can use help in the Research Library, preferably from individuals who can volunteer on a regular basis.  If you are interested, please give us a call at 541-265-7509.
