Join us at the Pacific Maritime Heritage Center on Saturday, September 12th from 1pm-4pm for a program on cultural heritage in our county in conjunction with our current exhibits, Oregon Voices and Currents in Lincoln County. The program will start with guest speaker, author and historian Ted Cox, speaking about the Toledo Incident, with updated information along with the most recent edition of his book on the subject. Next, we will screen an Ebb & Flow documentary produced by the Lincoln County Historical Society and Visual Thinking Northwest on the history of the Siletz Tribe. “The Siletz Story” features interviews with tribal leaders, Bud Lane and Delores Pigsley, as they recount the history of the tribe. Then we will feature vibrant traditional Mexican dances by Ballet Folklorico Oregon Coast. Following the dance performance, we will have snacks and refreshments available. This event is free to the public and donations are suggested.
