What We Offer

History is always changing.... and so are the exhibits and programs offered by the Lincoln County Historical Society. Visit our museum stores for books and gifts that offer a closer connection to the fascinating history of this coastal region. Delve deeper into the past in the Research Library. Check out our What's New section for programs that bring history alive and explore issues affecting life in Lincoln County, Oregon.

The mission of the Lincoln County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit objects and information illustrative of the story of Lincoln County for the education and betterment of the community and of the public interest. The Society as an educational institution will also act as a research agency and cultural center.

Pacific Maritime Heritage Center

Burrows House Museum

Open Saturday-Sunday, 11am-4pm. Built in 1895, this Queen-Anne Victorian house turned museum holds a long and colorful history. Learn More


Log Cabin Research Library

Open by Appointment, the library houses thousands of photographs, documents, maps, and records pertaining to local and regional topics. Learn More

Our governing body

The Lincoln County Historical Society (LCHS) is the 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that governs our two museum locations and public education programs. The Lincoln County Historical Society was formed in1948 to preserve the history of the county.

Hours & Admission

The Pacific Maritime Heritage Center is open Wednesday-Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 13-17, kids under 12 get in free.

The Burrows House is open Saturday-Sunday, 11am to 4pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 13-17, kids under 12 get in free. *County Residents are now FREE!

Family and group rates available. LCHS and Active Duty Military members receive free admission.

The Research Library is open by appointment. Call for more information.

Onsite parking is available at both museums, and all Historical Society buildings are wheelchair accessible.
